Homemade yoghurt recipe!

Heat a liter of milk to a temperature of approx. 45 degrees. Add 150 ml of natural yoghurt at room temperature to the warm milk, mix, keep on fire for a short while so that the mixture gains its temperature. Wrap the pot with a blanket or towel and set aside for 6-8 hours. The yoghurt should be good after the stated time, but if it is too runny, wait a few more hours. Pour the finished yogurt into smaller, airtight containers and store in the fridge. You can keep it there for several days. Here is the video:  

Healthy Diet - the most important rules!

  During our meeting in Istanbul, we participated in a seminar by a dietician, Ms Merve Guney-Coskun , about the most important healthy diet rules. Here is the summary of what we have learnt: 1. Balance means everything! Understand how many calories you need daily. The only way to maintain your ideal weight is to balance calories you take from foods with the energy you consume.  2. Enjoy your meal, but in smaller portions: Enjoy tasting delicious foods with friends or family at lunch or any other time. • Eating too fast, • Grabbing something to bite in front of the PC or TV, • Feeling obliged to eat something when the things go up-and-down for you, will eventually cause you to consume excessive calories. 3. Avoid bigger portions:  • Use smaller plates or bowls at home. • Choose smaller portions when dining out. • If you cannot finish your meal, you can share it with animals on the street or have it packaged for home. Always choose fruits instead of desserts. • If you want to eat someth

Turkey - day 5

The last day of the week started with probiotics topic. Students learnt how to make yoghurt and what benefiits it can bring to their health. At the same time, teachers worked on Mobility tool and arranged the agenda for the next LTTA. After that, all participants flled in mobiity week evaluation forms and next visited Camlica hill tower. In the end, the farewell dinner was held and certificate of attendance were given during the beautiful Bosphorus boat trip.  

Turkey - day 4

  On the fourth day the seminar "Wellbeing and playing an instrument" was organised. The participants could try playing the violin and listened to a short concert of classical music. They could discover the influence of music on their wellbeing and appreciated learning a new skill. After the seminar they had a short bicycle tour and later they visited Koc Museum, Topkapi Palace and Suleyman mosque.
